“My favorite Painting ”
Speaking of Paintings, I consider my process of savoring as a way to communicate with painters. Each painting contains the emotions of different spirits, even paintings created by a same person. Due to the fact that people’s emotions change from time to time, there will never be a painting identical to another.
When viewing a picture, I will never judge a painting based on my own favor to decide whether it is good or bad. Because I know these comments will never be fair. Instead, I view a picture for only one purpose, to search the emotions of each painting that is correspond with my spirit.
Of all the paintings I have seen, “The kiss” by Gustav Klimt (1862 - 1918) has been my favorite. I will never forget the moment when the powerful gold jump up of the paper and start floating in the pupil of my eyes, or even deeper, in my spirit. In the middle of the picture, there are lovers kissing each other, it is really a simple design. But hard to say what caught my attention, the emotion was too strong for me to describe in written words.
I could only see the rough sketch of the man, but his lover clearly. The young lady in the painting is sweetly chained by the arms of her lover. Her beauty seemed so fragile and delicate that might fade away every moment. Her eyes deeply closed, with a expression of both happiness and sadness on her face. Her flaming red hair is dotted with star-shape adornments, just like stars twinkling in a blazing sky.
At that moment, I was trapt by the picture, by the emotions it offered, nearly can I move or breathe. Time was froze and silently swallowed, these few seconds had turned to be immortal.
After seeing the painting, I could not stop wondering why a person like Klimt should have the ability to describe the delicate emotions of spirits only by canvas and colors. Maybe he once deeply loved, deeply tortured that these experiences had turned to be one part of his paintings. He revealed his inner secrets through these work, endlessly, even after he was sent to grave.
But for me, the flaming red and gold still floating, blazing in my spirit, immortally.
